Nollywood actress and broadcaster Doyin Kukoyi has shut down rumors linking her romantically to veteran actor Taiwo Hassan, popularly known as Ogogo.
Speaking in an interview on Nollywood on Radio, Kukoyi explained that the speculation began after she shared a photo from a movie set where she and Ogogo acted as husband and wife during their daughter’s wedding scene.
She said:
“I was at a movie location with Ogogo, and we both played the roles of husband and wife. We took a picture, and I shared it on social media. Some people then assumed we were married. Till today, many still believe I’m Ogogo’s wife.”
Kukoyi, who has spent over 30 years in Nollywood, also reflected on her journey in the entertainment industry. She revealed that her career started at Daar Communications before she fully embraced acting.
The actress emphasized that her relationship with Ogogo is strictly professional, dismissing all romantic speculations.
