A young Nigerian man has gone viral after unveiling a permanent tattoo of popular gospel singer Tope Alabi on his arm.
The large, detailed portrait features Alabi’s face and was proudly displayed by the man in a trending video. What caught more attention, however, was the fact that he was smoking while showing off the tattoo and singing one of her gospel tracks.
The video quickly stirred mixed reactions online. While some social media users praised his devotion and described him as having a “genuine heart,” others criticized his smoking habit, saying it clashed with the spiritual message of the song.
Many quoted Bible verses and urged people not to judge by outward appearance, while a few advised the young man to quit smoking for his health. Some even went as far as calling him a “prophet in the making.”
