Nollywood actress Dayo Amusa has reconciled with the TikToker who falsely accused her of being HIV positive.
In July, Amusa vowed to make the young man a scapegoat after he spread the damaging claim online. She expressed disappointment that some content creators and bloggers were fond of posting unverified information that not only tarnished reputations but also hurt families and friends who came across such lies.
However, in a new Instagram video, the Yoruba actress revealed she had a change of heart. Amusa explained that although she initially reported him to the police, she decided to forgive him after discovering that he had recently lost his mother, was only 27 years old, and after meeting his relatives, including his uncle and lawyer.
She stressed that forgiveness is important, writing:
“CASE CLOSED. To err is human, to forgive is divine. Making mistakes is a natural and inherent part of being human. Let’s be guided.”
With this, Amusa announced that she has officially closed the case, urging the public to learn from the incident.
