A Nigerian performer known as Fake Flavour has responded to claims that he is impersonating award-winning highlife singer Flavour N’abania to deceive fans.
In a video shared online, Fake Flavour clarified that he is simply a huge admirer of Flavour, and his stage name was chosen as a form of tribute, not deception.
He explained that his performance fee ranges between ₦700,000 and ₦800,000, which is far below what the real Flavour would charge, emphasizing that his clients fully understand he isn’t the original artist.
Addressing the allegations, he said he has never claimed to be Flavour for money or fame, stating,
“Flavour would never perform for that amount. People who book me know I’m doing my own thing, and I’m not pretending to be him to get money. I just love him.
