Music producer and Mavin Records boss, Don Jazzy, has shared how he nearly gave up on music after the end of Mo’Hits Records.
In an interview with Rolling Stone, Don Jazzy revealed that the breakup of Mo’Hits left him feeling lost and ready to move abroad to start a new life outside music. However, he said his friends encouraged him to keep going, reminding him of his talent and passion.
Their support inspired him to start Mavin Records, which has since grown into one of Africa’s biggest record labels.
Reflecting on the journey, Don Jazzy said,
“When Mo’Hits ended, I thought that was it. I almost packed up to move abroad. But friends encouraged me to stay and start again, and Mavin Records was born. Since then, I’ve learned not to let anything break me.
