Nigerian investigative journalist Kemi Olunloyo has joined the conversation surrounding the ongoing marital controversy between actress Regina Daniels and her billionaire husband, Senator Ned Nwoko.
Earlier reports claimed Regina cried out over alleged domestic violence in her marriage, with a viral video showing her in distress while her brother, Sammy West, confronted men said to be thugs allegedly sent by Ned.
However, Kemi Olunloyo has now shared what she claims is Ned Nwoko’s version of events. According to her, Ned told her he was not at home when the incident occurred. She alleged he travelled to Warri and only heard that Regina had begun damaging cars and windows in their house.
Kemi stated that Ned claimed their son, Munir, was running a fever, but Regina refused to allow the home nurse to attend to him. Things allegedly escalated to the point where Regina slapped two nannies and even her driver. Ned reportedly said the driver had to travel from Delta to take Munir to the hospital. He also claimed that Regina’s brother, Sammy, and others came to fight at his residence in his absence.
Kemi further alleged that Ned accused Regina of substance abuse. According to her, Ned said Regina’s drug use was affecting her behaviour and judgment, and that even her friends were influencing her negatively. He reportedly expressed concern for her well-being, stressing that she needed medical treatment for the sake of her children and her future.
Kemi added that Ned told her Regina had filmed him in the bathroom while he was about to urinate, describing her behaviour as irrational and influenced by substances.
The situation has sparked intense debate online, with many calling for calm and urging both parties to seek help and clarification before further escalation. As of now, Regina Daniels has not publicly responded to Kemi Olunloyo’s claims.
