“Through my foundation, over 3,000 girls are sent to school every year” – Tonto Dikeh Receives Award for Outstanding Humanitarian Work

Nollywood actress and philanthropist Tonto Dikeh has been officially recognised for her humanitarian efforts, receiving the “Help of Help and Light of the Girl Child” award.

Sharing the news on Instagram, Tonto said she was “humbled and honoured” by the acknowledgement, describing it not just as an award but “a reminder that consistent love, intentional service, and unshakable purpose will always speak louder than words.”

She went on to highlight the impact of her foundation:

“Through the Tonto Dikeh Foundation, over 3,099 girls are sent to school every year — not by chance, but through a deep, deliberate commitment to see women and girls rise beyond their limitations.”

She further reflected on her journey of service:

“From advocating for the voiceless to constructing roads for disabled communities, my journey has been one of consistently showing up for those who need it most.”

In a powerful declaration of purpose, she added:

“I am not just a helper — I am Help for Help.

I am not just a voice — I am light in dark corners.”

Tonto dedicated the award to “every girl dreaming of more, and every woman who refused to be silenced.”

She concluded with a heartfelt toast:

“Here’s to purpose, passion, and the power of being consistent in doing good.”
