Nollywood legend Idowu Phillips, popularly known as Mama Rainbow, is joyfully counting down to her 83rd birthday, which will be celebrated on October 16.
Taking to Instagram, the iconic actress shared a radiant new photo alongside a message filled with gratitude. She thanked God for preserving her life with strength and good health.
Mama Rainbow also extended deep appreciation to her loyal fans, acknowledging those who have supported her since the 1950s. According to her, their love and encouragement have been her greatest strength throughout her six decades on stage.
She further thanked her team and family for their constant support and expressed excitement as she awaits birthday gifts from fans in Nigeria, Egypt (Cairo), the United States, and Canada.
Her message read in part:

On the 16th of October, I’ll be celebrating my 83rd birthday! I thank Almighty God for the precious gift of life and for keeping me strong and healthy.
My heartfelt gratitude goes out to all my amazing fans who have supported me from the 1950s until today… I look forward to receiving my birthday gifts from Nigeria, Cairo, the United States, and Canada with love and appreciation. May God bless you all abundantly.”
