Nollywood actress Chika Ike has earned widespread praise for her thoughtful act of kindness towards less privileged women as part of her 40th birthday celebration.
A few days ago, The movie star turned 40, and instead of throwing a lavish celebrity party, Chika chose to celebrate her new age in a memorable and impactful way.
The actress hosted an empowerment program where she supported 40 women, giving them tools and opportunities to improve their lives. According to her, the event was themed “Chika 40 Smiles”, aimed at putting smiles on the faces of women.
In her emotional message, Chika explained the inspiration behind the initiative, saying she wanted this milestone birthday to reflect a deeper purpose:
“When I thought about celebrating my 40th birthday, so many ideas came to mind and from my amazing team. But this time, I wanted something more than just lavish, like I’ve done over the years. I wanted something truly memorable and impactful,” she said.
The actress expressed her gratitude for how well the event turned out, describing it as her best birthday ever:
