Speaking during a panel session at the Africa International Film Festival (AFRIFF) titled “Rhythms of the Continent: The Afrobeat Movement and Its Impacts on African Film”, Davido shared his excitement about working with African filmmakers and exploring new creative opportunities.

“My brother said he’s giving me a role, and I told him I want to play something unexpected — maybe a taxi driver or something totally out of the blue,” Davido said with a smile. “He has to figure that out. I definitely want to get involved in movies.”

The singer also mentioned that he draws inspiration from international stars like 50 Cent, who have successfully transitioned from music to film and TV production.
