It was a beautiful display of Yoruba culture and humility as Dr. Deji Adeleke, billionaire businessman and father of superstar singer Davido, and his brother, Osun State Governor Ademola Adeleke, were seen prostrating before their in-laws during a traditional wedding ceremony.
The event took place in Lagos on November 4, where Ayoola Adeleke, the first son of Dr. Deji Adeleke, tied the knot traditionally with his bride, Jessica Allen.
In line with Yoruba marriage customs, the groom’s family — including both the young and the elderly — knelt before the bride’s family to formally ask for her hand in marriage. The heartwarming video of the Adeleke brothers showing respect and observing tradition has since gone viral, earning praise from many Nigerians for honoring cultural values despite their high status.
