“Never Let Them See You Finish” – Opeyemi Aiyeola Appears to Ignore Godson Jamiu Azeez’s Public Apology

Nollywood actress Opeyemi Aiyeola appears to be standing her ground following a public apology from her godson, actor Jamiu Azeez.

Earlier reports revealed that Jamiu Azeez openly apologised to Opeyemi, admitting that he had wronged her deeply. In his message, he acknowledged her importance in his life and career, saying he could not tell his story without mentioning her name. He described his actions as childish, confessed that he caused her serious emotional pain, and begged for forgiveness.

However, Opeyemi has not directly responded to his apology. Instead, she took to her Instagram page to share a video of herself, where she spoke about two personal rules she lives by. Without mentioning Jamiu’s name, the actress stressed the importance of emotional strength and self-respect.

According to her, people should never allow emotions to control them or give others the satisfaction of seeing them broken. She wrote emphatically:

“You see rules no 4 & 6.

NEVER LET EMOTIONS WEIGH YOU DOWN.

NEVER LET THEM SEE YOU FINISH. Please write them boldly in capital letters for your own good.”

Her post has been widely interpreted by social media users as a subtle response to Jamiu Azeez’s apology, suggesting that while she has heard him, she is choosing self-preservation and emotional discipline over public reconciliation.
