Alleged Davido Daughter Saga: Anu Adeleke’s Mother Breaks Silence, Calls for Independent DNA Test

Ayo Labinjoh, the mother of Anu Adeleke, the teenage girl alleged to be the daughter of music star Davido, has spoken publicly about the ongoing paternity controversy involving her daughter and the singer.

The issue resurfaced after Anu took to Instagram to request a DNA test to confirm her identity. In her post, the teenager spoke about the bullying and emotional distress she has faced in school, saying classmates mocked her claim of being Davido’s daughter and that the situation affected her mental health.

Reacting to Anu’s claims, Davido denied being her father. The singer said he had already done five DNA tests, all of which came back negative. He explained that three hospitals were chosen by him, while Anu’s side selected two, and all reportedly returned the same result. Davido also expressed frustration over the situation and warned that Anu’s mother should be held accountable.

In a lengthy statement, Ayo Labinjoh said she decided to speak out to protect her daughter’s mental health after years of alleged bullying. She claimed Davido ignored her for years because he believed she was a prostitute he met at a club in Ibadan, an accusation she strongly denied. She said she was a waitress at the time and comes from a respectable family background.

Ayo stated that her daughter has suffered greatly from the controversy, alleging that Anu cried for days, fainted in school, and had to undergo psychotherapy. She said her daughter is intelligent and tech-savvy and has been fighting for her identity, not money or attention.

She also accused Davido of using harsh language toward Anu, claiming he threatened her and verbally abused the teenager during chats. Ayo described the language used as “awful” and condemned what she called continuous bullying of her daughter.

Questioning the credibility of previous DNA tests, Ayo alleged that earlier procedures were not properly conducted. She claimed that in one instance, Anu’s blood was drawn but later discarded, and a fake result was issued. She said these events disrupted her daughter’s mental health and caused unnecessary trauma.

As a next step, Ayo called on the United States State Department to contact the U.S. Embassy in Lagos or Abuja to help supervise and witness what she described as a clean, independent, and transparent DNA test. She noted that Davido is a U.S. citizen and said international supervision would ensure fairness.

Ayo ended her statement by insisting that her daughter did not ask to be born into controversy and should not be bullied over questions surrounding her identity. She stressed that Anu is simply seeking the truth and deserves protection and respect amid the ongoing public dispute.
