Afrobeats star Davido has publicly thanked his father, billionaire businessman Adedeji Adeleke, for defending him amid renewed paternity claims involving a woman identified as Anuoluwapo’s mother.
The singer took to X (formerly Twitter) to express his gratitude in a short but emotional message. “Thank you my loving Father … ❤️🙏,” Davido wrote, showing appreciation for his father’s support.
Davido’s message came just hours after Adedeji Adeleke addressed the issue during a press conference. At the briefing, Adeleke firmly dismissed the paternity allegations, describing them as unnecessary and misleading. He explained that DNA tests had already been carried out in the past and had confirmed that Davido is not the biological father of the child.
According to him, the matter should have been settled long ago, as the scientific evidence had already cleared his son.
Adedeji Adeleke also accused controversial social commentator Kemi Olunloyo of playing a major role in reviving and fueling the controversy. He alleged that she orchestrated the drama by spreading misinformation and keeping the issue alive online.
The Adeleke family has continued to maintain Davido’s innocence, insisting that the claims are false and have already been disproved.
