One of the major highlights at the 10th birthday celebration of King Andre, the son of Nollywood actress Tonto Dikeh and her ex-husband Olakunle Churchill, was an emotional moment between the former couple.
The birthday party, which took place in Abuja on Sunday, February 22, saw Tonto publicly appreciate Churchill during her speech. She thanked him for being a responsible and supportive father to their son.
While addressing guests, Tonto said that although Churchill may not have been an amazing husband during their marriage, he has been an amazing father. She expressed gratitude for his cooperation in making their son’s birthday celebration a success, noting that she could not have done it alone.
In her words, she described him as a changed man and gave glory to God for the transformation. She also prayed for him, his other children, and his business, wishing him success in all areas of life.
“I want to celebrate special people and one of them is my ex-husband, Olakunle Churchill. Thank you very much for collaborating with me and making this possible. I could not have done it alone. He might not have been a good husband, but he is an amazing dad, an amazing father. I love you with the love of God and I wish you all the best,” she said before walking up to hug him.
The touching moment drew applause from guests and has since sparked reactions online, with many praising the maturity and peaceful co-parenting displayed by the former couple.
