Nigerian music executive Soso Soberekon has stirred reactions online after offering ₦50 million to comedian and singer Carter Efe to face controversial artist Portable in a boxing match.
Soberekon made the offer during a recent visit by Carter Efe and Peller to the residence of businessman E-Money. In a video that has since gone viral, he said he was ready to put ₦50 million “on the table” to make the celebrity fight happen.
When asked if he would step into the ring with Portable, Carter Efe responded confidently. He declared that if the match happens, Portable would not leave the ring standing.
The proposal quickly sparked mixed reactions on social media. Some users questioned the idea, especially after Portable’s previous boxing match with Speed Darlington. Others debated who would likely win the fight, while some criticised wealthy individuals for promoting entertainment clashes instead of addressing pressing national issues.
While supporters described the potential bout as “historic,” critics argued that influential figures should focus on solving real problems in Nigeria rather than encouraging celebrity drama.
The video continues to trend online as fans wait to see whether the proposed ₦50 million boxing showdown will become a reality.
