The Governor of Lagos State, Babajide Sanwo-Olu, has dismissed reports claiming he was asked to resign due to health issues.
The denial follows a report published by Sahara Reporters, which alleged that the governor had been directed to step down, with his deputy set to take over.
In a statement issued by his media aide, the governor described the report as completely false, insisting that he remains in good health and is actively carrying out his duties.
The statement also clarified that the governor recently received his deputy, Kadri Obafemi Hamzat, during a routine visit where discussions were held in a cordial atmosphere.
The government criticised the report as misleading and part of a pattern of misinformation, urging the public to disregard it.
Residents were advised not to be misled, as the governor continues to function normally in office.
