The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board has once again extended the registration deadline for the 2026 Direct Entry application exercise.
According to the board, registration will now continue until May 22, 2026, giving candidates extra time to complete their applications.
JAMB explained that the extension is aimed at helping applicants who are still facing delays in obtaining important documents and credentials needed for registration.
This is not the first extension announced by the board. JAMB had earlier moved the deadline to May 8 and also approved additional accredited registration centres across the country to make the process easier for candidates.
The board said the latest extension shows its commitment to ensuring that all qualified applicants are properly included in the 2026 admission process.
Candidates have been advised to take advantage of the extra time and avoid waiting until the final days before completing their registration.
Meanwhile, JAMB is expected to continue preparations for the 2026 admission exercise ahead of its admission policy meeting scheduled for May 11, 2026.
