English Premier League club Chelsea F.C. has confirmed that four players will leave the club when their contracts expire on June 30.
The announcement was made in an official statement shared on the club’s X (formerly Twitter) account on Wednesday, as Chelsea released its retained and released list following the end of the 2025/26 season.
According to the club, defender Brodi Hughes will leave after spending 13 years at the Chelsea Academy. Hughes joined the club at Under-8 level and progressed through the youth system at Cobham. He also spent last season on loan at AFC Wimbledon in League One.
Another departing player, Richard Olise, leaves after 10 years at the club. He joined Chelsea as an Under-9 player, developed through the youth ranks, and was included in the first-team squad for a UEFA Conference League trip to Astana during the 2024/25 season.
Midfielder Sam Rak-Sakyi is also set to depart after making four first-team appearances. He joined the academy at age eight, rose through the youth system, and represented England at youth level. During the 2024/25 season, he made his senior debut in the UEFA Conference League against Noah and featured three more times in the competition.
The fourth player leaving the club is Jimi Tauriainen, who joined Chelsea in 2020. He was previously named among the substitutes for the 2024 Carabao Cup final against Liverpool.
Chelsea thanked all departing players for their contributions and wished them success in the next stage of their careers as they move on from Stamford Bridge.
