“I left because I was in pain and frustrated” – Akin Olaiya’s estranged wife speaks on crashed marriage

Nafisat Feenah Hammed, the estranged wife of Nollywood actor Akin Olaiya, has publicly addressed the breakdown of their marriage for the first time.

In a video circulating online, Nafisat shared her side of the story, explaining that she decided to leave the marriage last year due to emotional distress and personal challenges.

According to her, she felt unappreciated and believed that she no longer mattered in the relationship. She stated that the marriage was marked by difficulties and alleged violence, which ultimately influenced her decision to walk away.

Nafisat said she could not remain in a home where she was unhappy and claimed that her expectations for the marriage were not being met. She noted that she and the actor have not been together since last year.

Addressing critics who questioned her decision to leave, she explained that no one would willingly leave a happy marriage. She maintained that her departure was necessary because of the circumstances she faced.

Despite speaking out, Nafisat said she would not go into full details about what happened in the marriage, stressing that she is not interested in publicly criticizing her former partner or exposing private issues from their relationship.

She concluded by saying that God remains in control of every situation and that she prefers to leave the matter in His hands rather than discuss intimate details of her marital life in public.
