The National Working Committee (NWC) of the Peoples Redemption Party has officially approved former Cross River State Governor Donald Duke as its presidential candidate ahead of the 2027 general elections.
The decision followed the review and approval of the party’s primaries report by the Primaries Appeal Committee and the National Working Committee.
According to the party’s National Publicity Secretary, Muhammed Ishaq, the party also confirmed and upheld the results of several other elections, including governorship, Senate, House of Representatives, and State Assembly primaries.
He added that all other candidates have been cleared to contest in the upcoming 2027 elections, except for the Tarauni Federal Constituency in Kano, where the primary election was cancelled.
The PRP further announced that it will present a total of 420 candidates across different elective positions in the 2027 general elections.
The party described this development as part of its commitment to internal democracy, transparency, and credible leadership.
It also expressed confidence that its candidates would provide transformative leadership and contribute positively to Nigeria’s democratic process as the country approaches the next election cycle.
