“I Wasn’t Invited to Baby Events Because I Had No Child” – Mo Bimpe Sends Message to TTC Mothers

Nollywood actress Mo Bimpe has opened up about a difficult period in her life when she was trying to conceive, using her personal experience to encourage women currently waiting for the gift of motherhood.

The actress shared the emotional reflection after returning from the celebration of Baby Rakeem, revealing that the occasion brought back memories of a painful season in her life.

According to Mo Bimpe, there was a time when she was deliberately excluded from baby showers, naming ceremonies, children’s birthday parties and other celebrations involving children because she did not have a child.

She explained that some of the people who excluded her were individuals she personally knew, including people she had laughed with, worked with and genuinely cared about. At the time, she admitted that she often wondered what she had done wrong.

Bimpe said she later discovered that some people intentionally left her out simply because she had no children, a decision she said hurt her deeply.

She stressed that her pain was not because she wanted anyone to pity her, but because she genuinely loved children and wanted to participate in the happiness and celebrations of people around her.

Reflecting on the experience, the actress highlighted the emotional difficulties women facing challenges with conception may experience, including the long waiting period, intrusive questions, hurtful comments, insults and the private prayers they often say behind closed doors.

She therefore appealed to people to stop making the experience more painful by excluding women who are yet to have children.

According to her, not having a child does not make a woman less deserving of love, friendship, inclusion or celebration.

She encouraged people to invite such women to celebrations, show them love and allow them to share in the happiness of others, stressing that nobody truly knows what another person may be carrying behind a smile.

Mo Bimpe Encourages TTC Mothers

Turning her attention to women currently trying to conceive, popularly known as TTC mothers, Mo Bimpe urged them not to lose hope or give up on their dreams of becoming mothers.

Using her own experience as encouragement, she revealed that there was once a time when she had no child, but she is now a mother of triplets.

She acknowledged that the waiting period can be emotionally exhausting and that there are moments when a person's faith may feel weak, especially when it appears that everyone around them is moving forward.

However, she encouraged women to remain hopeful and continue believing in their testimony.

Bimpe wrote:

“And to every TTC woman reading this today, I want you to know that your story is not over.

There was a time I had no child. Today, I am a mother of triplets.

The same God who remembered me has not forgotten you.”

She further urged women not to allow the length of their waiting period to make them give up, emphasizing that a delay does not necessarily mean denial.

The actress concluded her emotional message by sending love, prayers and encouragement to women waiting to become mothers, assuring them that their own joyful moment would come.

Her message has resonated with the broader conversation around infertility and the need for greater sensitivity toward women who are navigating the emotional challenges of trying to conceive.
