Kira Taiwo, daughter of late veteran Nollywood actor Taiwo Hassan, has paid an emotional visit to her father’s graveside, days after his death and burial.
The actor, popularly known as Ogogo, passed away after reportedly battling stage-four cancer and was laid to rest the following day according to Islamic rites. His death has continued to generate grief among his family, colleagues, friends and fans.
In an emotional social media post, Kira shared a photograph of herself at her father’s graveside as she reflected on his absence and the difficulty of coming to terms with his death.
Describing the moment as “chilling with my daddy,” Kira revealed that visiting his graveside is one of the ways she copes with missing him. She also expressed sadness about attending Odunfa without her father, highlighting how difficult it will be to participate in familiar places and activities without him.
She wrote:
“Chilling with my daddy. Just how I go to Odunfa when I miss him. I pray to Almighty Allah to forgive your sins and shortcomings, papa. You have all my love forever and always.”
Kira’s message reflected her deep love for her late father, as she prayed for Allah to forgive his sins and shortcomings while promising to continue loving and remembering him.
Her emotional tribute comes amid an outpouring of condolences and tributes from members of the Yoruba movie industry, who have continued to celebrate Taiwo Hassan’s contributions to Nollywood and mourn the loss of the veteran actor.
For Kira, however, the loss is deeply personal, as she navigates life without her father while holding on to memories of their time together.
