“I Won’t Disappoint You” – Gov. Adeleke Promises Osun State Residents After Re-Election

Osun State Governor Ademola Adeleke has assured residents that he will not disappoint them after securing re-election for a second term in the state’s August 15 governorship election.

Adeleke made the pledge during a press conference on Sunday, shortly after the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) declared him the winner of the election.

The governor described his victory as a reflection of the support and confidence of the people of Osun State, noting that residents had endured what he described as months of intense pressure ahead of the poll.

According to Adeleke, the election has now settled the political contest through the will of the people and, as he put it, “by the grace of God and people.”

He dedicated his victory to the people of Osun State and praised them for their resilience, determination and commitment to democracy.

Adeleke also acknowledged that his administration has areas that require improvement. He promised to build on its achievements while addressing its shortcomings during his second term.

The governor assured residents that their renewed trust would not be taken for granted, promising to strengthen his administration’s strong points and correct its mistakes under his renewed five-point agenda.

“As you have trusted me again for the second term in office, I will not disappoint you. To serve you better, I will reinforce my strong points and correct my errors under my renewed five-point agenda.”

His comments come as Adeleke begins preparations for another term in office, with expectations from residents for his administration to consolidate its achievements and deliver on its promises.
