Nollywood actor Rotimi Salami has paid an emotional tribute to his late colleague and friend, Allwell Ademola, as she would have celebrated her 50th birthday.
Taking to social media, the actor expressed how much he misses the late actress, affectionately referring to her as “Shuga Boo.” He also called on fans, colleagues and members of the public to join him in celebrating her memory by using a photo he shared on his page.
As part of his tribute, Rotimi Salami revealed that he has released a movie titled Until My Last Breath (Titilailai), which he described as a portrayal of Allwell Ademola's true-life love story.
Announcing the project, he wrote:
“Happy 50th birthday, Shuga Boo.
Miss you.
Kindly help me celebrate Allwell by using the picture on the last slide.
Until my last breath (Titilailai).
It’s her true life love story.”
The tribute highlights Salami's continued remembrance of his late colleague and his effort to preserve her memory through film.
Allwell Ademola's 50th posthumous birthday has also provided an opportunity for colleagues and fans to reflect on her life, career and contributions to Nollywood.
