Veteran Yoruba actor Lere Paimo has received an outpouring of love and celebration as he marked his 87th birthday.
The legendary actor was celebrated by family members, friends and colleagues, who visited his home to honour the milestone in grand style.
Videos shared online showed trumpet players and a brass band arriving at the veteran actor's residence, while drummers and Yoruba traditional singers performed birthday songs and entertained guests.
The celebration also featured moments of appreciation for Lere Paimo, with the actor seen receiving cash gifts and birthday presents, including a specially made birthday frame.
Among those who celebrated the veteran actor was fellow Nollywood actor Kunle Afod, who took to social media to describe Paimo as a true legend whose career has inspired generations.
Afod praised the actor's decades of dedication, talent and contribution to the Nigerian entertainment industry while praying for his continued good health, peace, happiness and longevity.
He wrote:
