Nigerian media personality and entrepreneur Toke Makinwa has marked her 42nd birthday in a special way, choosing to celebrate the new chapter of her life with songs of praise and thanksgiving to God.
To commemorate her birthday, the former radio presenter hired a praise singer to serenade her with worship songs and prayers of thanksgiving.
Toke shared a video on her social media page showing her dancing joyfully as the praise singer delivered melodious songs, creating a moment of celebration and gratitude.
Explaining the reason behind her unusual birthday celebration, the media personality disclosed that she owed God praise over a personal matter and had decided to express her appreciation through thanksgiving.
In her birthday message, Toke acknowledged God's goodness in her life and expressed confidence that He would also come through for her concerning another personal matter.
She wrote:
“365 days around the sun. I owe God this praise over a personal matter, and I’m here to give it, for you are a good God. That second matter too dey o, but I know you will still do it. TM day, it’s my birthday, and I spent my morning with my daddy.”
Her message suggested that she had experienced a personal breakthrough for which she was grateful, while remaining hopeful about another matter she is trusting God to settle.
