NURTW Announcing My is laughable – MC Oluomo Reveals

 Alhaji Musiliu Akinsanya, nicknamed MC Oluomo, has described the National Administrative Council's (NAC) decision to remove him as chairman of the National Union of Road Transport Workers (NURTW) Lagos council and dissolve the council's leadership as "laughable."

Alhaji Tajudeen Baruwa, NURTW National President, and Alhaji Kabiru Ado Ya'u, NURTW General Secretary, both signed the dissolution announcement.

Seyi Bankole, the Secretary of the Lagos State Council, has been named the new head of NURTW in Lagos.

The beleaguered former NURTW head, who has now reacted to his dismissal, has said that it is "laughable" since all of the state's union members have left the national body.

MC Oluomo insisted that his previous suspension was unlawful and that the dissolution has no impact because the Lagos State government had ceased the state council's activities.

He also questioned why the NURTW President is operating outside the law and hell-bent on destroying union activity in Lagos, as he has done in other states in the Southwest.

He urged members of the state's union to be calm, as the Lagos State government has appointed him as park manager in the state.
