Nollywood Actor Jigan Babaoja's Fury: Threatens 100m Lawsuit Against Singer Mohbad For Mocking His Disability In Song

Jigan Babaoja, a popular Nollywood actor, is reportedly planning to sue Nigerian singer Mohbad for making fun of his disability in one of his songs. Mohbad, a former signee of Naira Marley, had included the lyrics "Temurege bi Jigan. Ese Jigan o to le" in his song, which roughly translates to "I behave like Jigan. Thank God I'm not Jigan". Jigan, who has lived with a disability for 40 years, took offense to the lyrics and vowed to take legal action against Mohbad. He also stated that he would use Mohbad as an example to deter other artists from mocking people with disabilities.

This isn't the first time Jigan has been the subject of ridicule in a song. He previously threatened to break the leg of another rising Nigerian singer, Asake, for making a similar joke about his disability in a song. Jigan urged his fans to tag Asake and let him know that he could face consequences if they ever met in person. However, it's unclear if Jigan actually intends to carry out his threat against Asake.

Jigan, who recently celebrated his 40th birthday, has been open about his disability and uses his platform to inspire others living with disabilities. He has shared photos of himself in his underwear, showing his body and the challenges he faces due to his disability, in an effort to promote body positivity and self-love.
