See How Portable Forced To Make U-turn And Beg For Mercy After Wild Confrontation With Police

Habeeb Okikiola, who is popularly known as Portable, was recently handed a 72-hour ultimatum by the Ogun State police command to report himself to the nearest police station after he was captured in a viral video rough-handling police officers. Despite the ultimatum, Portable failed to report himself and was later arrested by the police and detained at the State Police headquarters in Eleweran, Abeokuta.

In a new video that has been making rounds on the internet, Portable is seen standing in front of a police chief, trying to defend himself during questioning. The video shows a humbled Portable claiming that he did not know that the men who stormed his bar in the Sango Ota area to arrest him on Tuesday were police officers.

The singer, who is also the ambassador of 'Odogwu Bitters,' has faced criticism from some quarters for his alleged disregard for the law. However, some of his fans have come to his defense, stating that he may have been caught in a moment of self-defense, as he has been previously harassed by some police officers in the past.

Meanwhile, the police authorities have not released an official statement on the incident or the status of Portable's detention. It is not clear yet whether he will be charged or released after the investigation.
