Singer Portable's Nightmare Continues As He's Hauled To Ilaro Correctional Facility In A Prison Van For Failing Bail Conditions[video]

Singer Portable, also known as Habeeb Okikiola, has been in the news lately for the wrong reasons. He was arraigned for allegedly assaulting a policeman, resisting arrest, and assaulting one of his followers. On April 3, he appeared before Magistrate A.S. Soneye, who granted him bail in the sum of N800,000 for the three charges against him. However, he was taken back to the Nigerian Correctional Centre in Ilaro, Yewa South Local Government Area of Ogun State, after failing to meet his bail conditions.

The bail conditions set by the court required Portable to provide two sureties who must reside within the jurisdiction of the Ifo court and be landowners. The sureties were also required to present evidence of tax payment and means of livelihood. Despite having a lawyer present at the court hearing, Portable was unable to fulfill the bail conditions and was subsequently taken back to prison.

Portable's case has generated a lot of interest among his fans and followers, who have expressed disappointment over his predicament. There are speculations that the singer is yet to perfect his bail conditions, and he will be remanded in prison custody until his lawyers meet the requirements for his bail.

The next hearing of Portable's case is on April 26, 2023, and it remains to be seen whether he will be able to fulfill the bail conditions before then. In the meantime, his fans and well-wishers have taken to social media to express their support and solidarity with the embattled singer.
