Saudi Team Al-Ittihad Set to Break Transfer Records with £200 MILLION Offer for Mohamed Salah, After Liverpool Rejects £150m Bid

In a bid to sign Mohamed Salah from Liverpool, Al-Ittihad is reportedly prepared to offer a staggering £200 million. This follows the rejection of a £150 million offer from the Saudi Pro League club by the English club. Al-Ittihad remains determined to acquire Salah's services, and their window for transfers will close on September 7.

Mail Sport had previously reported that despite Jurgen Klopp's strong desire to retain his star forward, the Saudis view Salah as a symbol of their new project and are willing to surpass the £198 million Paris St Germain paid Barcelona for Neymar back in 2017.

Negotiations between the two parties have been ongoing for months, with recent days witnessing increased intensity. The Saudi Pro League hierarchy has relocated to Cannes in the south of France to facilitate these discussions. However, Liverpool director Mike Gordon rejected proposals on Thursday night, reaffirming today that the 31-year-old Salah is not available for sale, and they consider the matter closed.

It's worth noting that Salah, who scored an impressive 30 goals in all competitions for Liverpool last season, plays a significant leadership role within the club. He also signed a new three-year contract last summer, which made him the highest-paid player in Liverpool's history.
