In a surprising revelation, Mr. Joseph, the father of late singer Mohbad, shared how his son had never provided him with financial support. He attributed this to interference from his wife's family, who prevented Mohbad from financially assisting their family. He also disclosed that throughout his entire life, he couldn't afford to buy even a single bag of cement or blocks.
Mr. Joseph mentioned that he had offered prayers for Mohbad but wasn't allowed to use them because of his wife and her family. He explained how he had made a special prayer for his son's lasting success and created prayer water for him. However, due to suspicions of being involved in a secret cult, the prayer water was abandoned in their old house, and Mohbad's passing followed shortly after.
Describing Mohbad as a merciful child who always encouraged him, Mr. Joseph revealed that the last amount his son gave him was N20,000 for fuel. He expressed his disappointment that Mohbad hadn't built a house and that the new house he moved into was rented. He also claimed that Mohbad's wife had taken control of his finances, even buying a pickup truck for Mr. Joseph but transferring Mohbad's money to her mother. He urged Nigerians to investigate the account transactions in his son's name. Despite these challenges, he praised Mohbad as a glorious child who didn't tarnish his name.
