Mohbad Case Takes a Startling Turn as Nurse and Friend Sent Back to Custody

The Lagos State Magistrates' Court in Yaba has made several rulings in the case concerning the controversial death of hip-hop artist Ilerioluwa Aloba, known as Mohbad. A 37-year-old auxiliary nurse, Fisayo Ogedengbe, who was arrested in connection with the case for allegedly administering injections that led to the singer's death, has been sent back to custody.

Similarly, the court ordered that Mohbad's friend, Ayobani Sadiq, who is also a suspect in the case, should remain in police custody. However, the magistrate, Adeola Olatunbosun, granted bail in the amount of N20 million to each of Mohbad's former boss, Azeez Fashola (Naira Marley), and a Lagos socialite, Balogun Eletu (Sam Larry), both of whom were implicated in Mohbad's death and detained by the police on October 6.

The police investigation into the case is still ongoing, and as a result, Olatunbosun adjourned the case until November 29 to await advice from the Director of Public Prosecutions (DPP).
