During the proceedings on Monday, the prosecution, with a firm stance, requested the court to remand Damian in the custody of the Nigerian Correctional Service (NCoS). This plea went unopposed by Damian's defense counsel.

The legal stage intensified as the prosecution additionally sought to send the case file to the Department of Public Prosecutions (DPP) for future advice. This move, signaling a meticulous approach to the legal process, was granted without resistance from the defense.
