MC Oluomo Secures Second Term as Lagos NURTW Chairman in Unopposed Election

Lagos Chairman of the National Union of Road Transport Workers (NURTW), Alhaji Musiliu Akinsanya, popularly known as MC Oluomo, has successfully clinched a second term in office. The re-election took place during the 10th Quadrennial State Delegates Conference at the state union secretariat in Agege.


In this unopposed election, Alhaji Sulyman Ojora emerged as the Deputy Chairman, while Alhaji Mustapha Adekunle (Sego) secured the position of Treasurer. Additionally, 28 other executive members were elected unopposed during the conference.


The swearing-in ceremony was conducted by Adejare Kembi, Principal of Excel Practitioners, in the presence of dignitaries such as Acting National President Alhaji Aliyu Issa Ore, former National Secretary Kabiru Ado Yau, and representatives from the Federal Ministry of Labour and Employment.


Expressing gratitude, MC Oluomo thanked Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu, the national body of the union, and other stakeholders for their support during challenging times. He commended the union members for their loyalty and perseverance.


Promising continued reforms, MC Oluomo assured union members of increased support and assistance. Governor Sanwo-Olu, represented by Lateef Tiamiyu from the State Ministry of Transportation, praised the re-elected chairman for exemplary leadership and positive transformations within the union.
