"10 Years Ago" Singer Zlatan Ibile Thinks Deeply As He Reflects On His Journey To Fame

Nigerian singer Omoniyi Temidayo Raphael, known professionally as Zlatan Ibile, has reminisced about his humble beginnings.

Zlatan shared a photo on Instagram of a car he won in the Airtel One Mic competition, which marked the start of his rise to fame. Reflecting on his journey over the past decade, he expressed deep gratitude for the growth and development in his career.

He thanked his colleagues from Moshood Abiola Polytechnic (Mapoly) and everyone who supported him along the way. Zlatan highlighted the turning point in his life when Mapoly students helped him win the contest, shifting his focus from football to music.

"10 years ago, there was no Zlatan Ibile. All there was, was an aspiring footballer. Mapoly students believed in me by ensuring I won this contest! From then, everything changed from football to music. I did not have 2 personal songs let alone a hit until 2017 with Baddo. Thank you to every Mapoly student who stood by me. Thank you Day 1 Zlatanovaz. Can’t believe today makes it exactly 10 years already… And we’re still going strong. ZTTW!”

His heartfelt post has inspired many, with fans reacting positively to his story of perseverance and success.
