Nollywood star Toyin Abraham has hit back at critics following allegations that she had a troll’s mother arrested. The controversy began when a user on X accused her of detaining his mother, calling her actions shameless and urging her to send more police to arrest everyone.


In response, Toyin clarified that while she can tolerate personal attacks and insults, she draws the line at people cursing her children and spreading lies. She denied having the woman arrested, explaining that she had only filed a cybercrime report as a citizen.


The Twitter user claimed that Toyin had picked up his mother from her shop and taken her to Panti police station, invoking God’s judgment on her. Toyin countered this by stating that the user was lying and provided her side of the story.


In an Instagram Live session, Toyin emphasized that she did not arrest anyone’s mother and was merely exercising her democratic rights. She believes the backlash she is facing stems from her support for another individual and insists she did not receive any money for it. Toyin also mentioned receiving threatening messages and declared that she is ready to fight back against those who bully and defame her.
