Nollywood actress and producer Wumi Toriola has written a heartfelt message to her fans as she prepares for her first cinema debut. Known for breaking YouTube records, Wumi is joining the ranks of top Nollywood stars like Femi Adebayo, Lateef Adedimeji, and Odunlade Adekola with the release of her movie, Queen Lateefah, set to hit cinemas on September 27.
Reflecting on her journey, Wumi noted that she has been a staple on DVD, YouTube, and satellite TV for a while. In January 2024, she partnered with Cinema Xng to produce her debut cinema film, Queen Lateefah, which promises to be a blockbuster. The actress also credited her fans for their unwavering support throughout her career, saying their love has been a major source of motivation.
In her message, Wumi wrote:
"You all have never failed me in the cause of my career. You claim so much love for me, which has been a source of motivation."
Excited for the film’s release, Wumi urged her fans to get ready for an unforgettable September, saying:
"We can’t keep calm. September is going to be lit. QUEEN LATEEFAH is coming to cinemas from September 27. A September to remember, giving all the GOOD vibes we want it to."
