“I have forgiven everyone who has offended me,” MC Oluomo expresses deep gratitude and calls for unity after appointment as NURTW Chairman.

Newly appointed National Union of Road Transport Workers (NURTW) chairman, Musiliu Akinsanya, popularly known as MC Oluomo, has penned an emotional note of appreciation following his elevation to the top position in Nigeria’s transport union. News of his appointment brought jubilation among his supporters and within his camp.


In a message posted on social media, MC Oluomo addressed God with heartfelt gratitude, expressing his appreciation for the support he's received from his colleagues, the NURTW Board of Trustees, and other executives. In his words:


“Dear God, I am overwhelmed with gratitude. Thank you for your boundless mercy, grace, and love. I cherish the precious gift of life and the elevation you’ve bestowed upon me. Even amidst trials, I acknowledge your goodness and faithfulness. I surrender everything to you, knowing you control every aspect of my life.”


He also extended his thanks to those within the union who stood by him, writing:

All NURTW members.


Thank you for your unwavering support, commitment, and prayers. As we embark on this new chapter with Renewed Hope, I plead with every NURTW member to allow peace to reign. Additionally, MC Oluomo publicly forgave those who had wronged him and asked for the forgiveness of anyone he may have inadvertently offended, saying, “I have forgiven everyone who has offended me, and I wish those I have offended would forgive me as well. This is our union, and we must preserve it. We will not let anyone destroy our means of livelihood.”


He concluded with a prayer for the union, asking for peace, harmony, and strength during difficult times:


“Dear Lord, grant NURTW peace and harmony that surpasses understanding. Help us trust in your provision and find comfort in your presence, especially during hardships. I am eternally grateful. Alhamdulilah!
