Nollywood actress Iyabo Ojo has written an emotionally charged message to social media activist Vincent, known as Very Dark Man (VDM), addressing his frequent criticisms and delving into the roots of his behavior. In a detailed post on her Instagram page, Iyabo reflected on his troubled upbringing and the impact it has had on his personality, urging him to seek healing and self-awareness.
Iyabo empathized with Vincent's struggles as a child, citing the lack of love, care, and stability in his upbringing as a cause for his unresolved anger and pain. She pointed out that instead of holding those responsible accountable, he channels his frustrations toward successful men and women, projecting his inner turmoil onto others.
Iyabo’s Message
Iyabo wrote:
"Vincent, I’ve gained a deeper understanding of your behavior, and I must say, it’s quite sad. It seems like your upbringing lacked love, care, and stability. Hence, your toxic narcissistic behavior. Your parents failed to provide you with a nurturing environment, leading to unresolved anger and pain.
"Instead of directing your anger toward those responsible, you’ve chosen to lash out at successful women and men. Your anger and frustration are misplaced, and it’s time to acknowledge the root cause."
She specifically questioned his mother’s role in his life, addressing her lack of support and initiative.
"Mama Vincent, your lack of initiative and dependence on your ex-husband is concerning. Were you not working before he ran away? Was your character flawed? Did you cheat? Did he want DNA? Why didn’t you make continuous attempts to help your son or raise him better? These are questions that need answers."
Iyabo also criticized Vincent’s toxic online behavior:
"Your life experiences have shaped you into the BEAST you are today – manipulative, rude, cunning, deceitful, and toxic narcissistic. Constantly tarnishing reputations to gain relevance. Your parents are to blame for it, not Paulo, Mama Festus, or Priscilla."
She concluded her post by encouraging Vincent to forgive his parents, release his bitterness, and find peace:
"VDM, free your heart from hate by first forgiving your parents so that you can find peace. True healing starts with addressing the root of your pain."
Social Media Reactions
Iyabo’s bold and direct message sparked varied reactions:
"Iyabo Ojo really hit hard, but everything she said was true. Sometimes, we need tough love to heal."
"This is deep. I hope VDM takes this as constructive and begins his healing journey."
"Iyabo has spoken nothing but facts. It’s sad how unresolved childhood trauma can shape someone’s life negatively."
While some followers praised Iyabo for her courage in addressing the issue, others hoped the message would prompt VDM to introspect and work towards personal growth.
The ongoing exchange has generated widespread discussions on the effects of childhood trauma and the importance of addressing unresolved emotional wounds.
