Queen Tobi, one of the wives of the Ooni of Ife, recently shared a powerful message about manifesting one's desires through positive words and thoughts, following the unveiling of a gold statue honoring Nigeria's First Lady, Senator Remi Tinubu. The Ooni of Ife, His Imperial Majesty Ooni Adeyeye Ogunwusi, commissioned the statue at Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile Ife, as part of his 50th birthday celebrations.
Queen Tobi posted images from the unveiling ceremony on her social media and revealed the backstory behind the statue. She noted that Remi Tinubu had once casually expressed a wish for someone to create a statue in her honor, similar to one made for Mark Zuckerberg's wife. This seemingly offhand comment was eventually fulfilled through the Ooni’s initiative.
In her caption, Queen Tobi emphasized the influence of spoken words and encouraged her followers to focus on positivity, writing,
“This day, a statue was unveiled in honor of the First Lady of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, Distinguished Senator Oluremi Tinubu, at Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile Ife, by Ooni of Ife, His Imperial Majesty Ooni Adeyeye Enitan Ogunwusi Ojaja II, as part of his 50th Birthday Celebration Program.
"The First Lady once said she wished someone would make a statue of her, after seeing the trending story about Mark Zuckerberg’s wife. When she said that, all that came to mind was to say it loud and clear that we shouldn’t underestimate 'The Power of The Mind' & 'The Power of the Tongue,' because your thoughts and words shape your reality."
Queen Tobi further encouraged her followers to think and speak positivity over their lives and warned against allowing negative influences. She concluded, "Always think and speak positivity over your life. Don’t let anyone speak negativity into your life—be conscious of who/what you listen to.”
Her post resonated with many of her followers, who shared their own experiences and expressed admiration for the impactful message. Queen Tobi’s remarks underscored the importance of using words wisely, illustrating how one person's wish can become reality through intention and action.
