Nollywood actress Opeyemi Aiyeola has called on women who have had children through IVF or surrogacy to openly share their experiences.
Speaking during a TikTok live session, Opeyemi emphasized that sharing such testimonies can inspire and encourage other women to explore these options. She highlighted how hearing about successful journeys could help break the stigma and foster trust in these medical procedures.
Aiyeola commended those who confidently disclose their stories, noting that transparency about IVF and surrogacy empowers others. She also criticized "half-baked" testimonies, urging for full disclosure to maximize their impact.
In her words:
"Those of you that did surrogacy, let people know so that they would know that surrogacy works. That’s why I applaud people who come out with their full chest and say they had their child through surrogacy or IVF. You all will now give half-baked testimony which doesn’t help others."
The actress’s statement has sparked conversations online, with many applauding her for addressing an important topic.
