Nollywood veteran Monsuru Ijayegbemi recently opened up about a difficult chapter in his life when he contemplated suicide after falling victim to a scam. During an interview on Kunleafod TV's official YouTube channel, the Yoruba actor shared the painful experience of losing 5,000 naira to a fraudster who pretended to be a car dealer.
Recalling the incident, Ijayegbemi said:
"I wanted to commit suicide when I lost 5,000 naira to a scammer. I had gathered the money to buy myself a car, and I was giving it to the person in installments because he claimed to be a car dealer, not knowing he was going to dupe me."
The actor described the emotional toll the betrayal took on him, revealing how the incident pushed him to the brink. Despite the ordeal, Ijayegbemi found the strength to move forward, serving as an inspiration to others who may be going through tough times.
