Early Life and Education


Born in Abeokuta, Ogun State, Monsurat discovered her passion for storytelling and performance at a young age. She began her education at Omega Primary School, Sabo, and later attended Premier Secondary School, Ayetoro Road. Pursuing her love for media and entertainment, Monsurat obtained a diploma in Media, Film, and Communication Studies from Crescent University, Abeokuta.


Inspired by Toyin Abraham


Monsurat credits Toyin Abraham as the driving force behind her decision to join Nollywood. "Watching Toyin on screen gave me the courage to follow my dreams," she shared. Her initial steps into acting began with her participation in the GOFADRAM (God Foundation Drama Group) church drama team. A pivotal moment came when a friend introduced her to filmmaker Idowu Adenekan, marking the start of her professional journey.

Navigating the Nollywood industry hasn’t been without its trials. Monsurat described the challenges she faced as a female actor striving to establish her name. "It requires God’s grace, patience, prayers, and transparency," she said, emphasizing the importance of resilience and focus.
