Renowned Nollywood actress Ini Edo, known for her private lifestyle, has candidly shared her journey to becoming a mother through surrogacy. Appearing on the hit reality show Young, Famous, and African, Ini addressed questions about her child’s paternity and revealed the personal challenges she faced in her quest for motherhood.


The actress disclosed that she had struggled with fertility issues and experienced difficulty carrying pregnancies to term. With time no longer on her side and no partner in her life, Ini made the decision to pursue surrogacy to have the child she desperately wanted.


Luis asked about her child: Ini confirmed she has a baby girl.


Nadia questioned her relationship status: Ini revealed she is unmarried and not in contact with the child’s father, stating, “It’s just me and my child.”


On surrogacy: Ini explained, “I’m raising her alone. There was no man in my life at the time, and I wanted a child. There are different ways to go about that.”


During her confessional, Ini reflected on the emotional journey:


“I never thought I would be someone who had fertility issues. When it looked like it was not going to happen the way I wanted and I wasn’t getting younger, I explored my options and chose surrogacy. I’m very happy with my decision.”
