Renowned Yoruba movie actor, Asa Koko, has passed away after battling an undisclosed illness for over two years.
The sad news was shared by his junior colleague, Kunle Afod, via Instagram. Afod posted a video from his last visit to Asa Koko’s home, where the ailing veteran recounted his health struggles.
In the emotional clip, Asa Koko revealed that he spent more than two years in the hospital and received a visit from the state governor during his treatment. He also showed Afod his swollen leg, expressing gratitude to God for sustaining him through the ordeal.
The late actor, known for marrying ten wives, was revered for his contributions to the Yoruba film industry.
Confirming his passing, Kunle Afod expressed his grief in his caption, offering prayers for the departed star’s soul to rest in peace.
