Priscilla Ojo, the daughter of Nollywood actress Iyabo Ojo, has tied the knot with her Tanzanian lover, Juma Jux, in a beautiful Nikkah ceremony in Tanzania. However, the noticeable absence of her father has stirred speculation online.
Iyabo Ojo, alongside her son Festus Ojo, media personality Enioluwa Adeoluwa, and other family members, traveled to Tanzania for the wedding. However, Priscilla’s father and Iyabo’s ex-husband was not among the attendees. This has led to widespread discussions, with many suggesting he was not invited due to his lack of involvement in Priscilla’s upbringing after his split from Iyabo.
Iyabo Ojo had previously shared that her children, Festus and Priscilla, were unaware of her divorce until Priscilla turned 15. She made sure they never felt the absence of their father by going the extra mile during special occasions.
"Every Christmas, I ensured they got double gifts from me and their dad. Whenever they asked about him, I told them he was a traveler, and they grew up believing that," she once revealed.
Priscilla herself has spoken about her childhood without a father. In an interview with BTS Reality, she admitted to experiencing "daddy issues" but emphasized that her mother filled every gap perfectly.
"I just wanted that love, but my mum did everything. She filled every position. So even when I saw people with their dads online, I still felt like my mum did everything perfectly," she said.
She also shared that she has never seen her mother cry, as they both handle struggles privately.
"My mum is very strong, and I learned from her. Even if I’m feeling down, once she walks into the room, I start dancing. That’s the spirit we have in our house," Priscilla explained.
Given their history, it is unsurprising that her father was absent from the ceremony. However, fans are hopeful that he might attend the next phase of the wedding, which is expected to take place in Nigeria.
