Renowned Nollywood actor Dele Odule has spoken out against false rumors circulating on social media about his alleged death and arrest.
In a video shared on Instagram, the veteran actor expressed frustration over the baseless claims, particularly calling out a blogger who falsely declared him dead by posting his photo with the caption “RIP.”
Odule reassured his fans that he is alive and well. “There’s nothing wrong with me; I am very much alive. I don’t understand why someone would wish me dead. This is barbaric, uncalled for, and unfair,” he stated.
He also addressed another damaging report falsely claiming he was arrested for child molestation, alongside an image of him in handcuffs. Questioning the motive behind such rumors, Odule fired back, saying, “For what? What is your problem? Are you alright? Don’t try to bring me down.”
Despite the controversy, the actor expressed deep appreciation for his fans' unwavering support and concern for his well-being. “I love you to bits. Thank you for always being there and for your concern. I truly appreciate it. God bless you,” he said.
Fans and colleagues have since rallied behind him, condemning the spread of fake news.
