Nollywood actress Abiola Adebayo was overcome with grief as she laid her mother, Mrs. Mojisola Nurat Adebayo, to rest on Wednesday, February 12, 2025.
The actress shared an emotional video from the graveside, where she was seen crying alongside other mourners as her mother was committed to the earth. Expressing her deep pain, Biola Bayo wrote:
"My heart is shattered. I wish this pain would go away now, but I know ALL IS WELL!"
Official Announcement of Her Mother’s Passing
A day before the burial, Biola Bayo released a formal statement to announce her mother’s demise at the age of 68.
"With a heavy heart and complete submission to the will of Almighty Allah, we announce the passing of our beloved mother, Mrs. Mojisola Nurat Adebayo (née Adelakun), who departed this world on the evening of Tuesday, February 11, 2025."
Fondly called "Iya Wale" or "Ejoyin," the late Mrs. Adebayo was described as a pillar of strength who taught patience, tolerance, and unconditional love. The family finds comfort in knowing she has returned to her Creator and has been laid to rest according to Islamic rites.
8th-Day Fidau Prayers Scheduled
To honor her memory, the 8th-day Fidau prayers will be held next Wednesday, and the family has requested prayers and support during this difficult time.
May Allah grant her eternal rest and admit her into Al-Jannah Firdaus.
